Who we are

Rooted in faith. Driven by service.

UCAG was formed in 2006, when six passionate Guyanese came together to ask how they could assist their brothers and sisters back home. Since then we have sent bed linen, clothes, shoes, equipment, supplies and food to senior citizen homes, hospitals, schools and orphanages across Guyana — and here in the UK we support soup kitchens for the homeless and a burial fund for families facing bereavement.

In 2017 our shoebox appeal sent over 100 pairs of school shoes, books, rucksacks and stationery to two orphanages, and today we are collecting used wheelchairs for Georgetown Public Hospital. The work ahead is enormous, but by God’s grace, we are moving forward.

“As we have done it to the least of our brethren, we have done it unto Him.”

  • A registered UK charity, run entirely by volunteers
  • Open to all — Guyanese, friends and neighbours alike
  • Serving communities in Britain and Guyana since 2006

Wheels of hope

We collect pre-loved wheelchairs, walking frames and mobility equipment across the UK, then ship them to Georgetown Public Hospital and communities across Guyana — restoring independence, one chair at a time.
